How To Rewire Your Inner Critic!

Woman with long brown hair and patterned blouse, eyes closed and hands on head, pausing in a moment of reflection or nervous system reset.

You know that voice, the one that whispers "not enough", "too much", or "what if you fail?"

It's not your truth.  It's your nervous system echoing old scripts.  And you can rewrite them.

The Science:
Neuroscience shows that our inner critic is often a loop of conditioned neural pathways.  Ever heard the phrase, "neurons that fire together, wire together"?

When we interrupt that loop with intentional practices, we create space for clarity, confidence, and calm.

The Practice:
Here's one that I use and recommend: The 3-Minute Rewire

1. Name the Critic:  Give it a persona.  "The Doubter", "The Perfectionist" or even just your own name (thinking in third person gives you some emotional distance)

2. Interrupt the Loop: Stand up.  Shake your hands.  Breathe in for 5 and out for 10.

3. Replace the Script: Speak a truth aloud:  "I am safe.  I choose peace."

Why It Works:
This practice combines somatic interruption, breath regulation and cognitive reframing.  It's not just mindset, it's nervous system mastery.

Invitation:
Want to go deeper?  For years, I've held space for transformational coaching.  It's deep, nervous-system work.

But I'm feeling called to something new.  I'll be pausing 1:1 coaching soon to make space for what's next.

If you've been circling the work, this is your last chance to step in before the doors close.

I have space for 3 new clients this season.  After that, I'll be shifting into something new.  (Of course, I'll keep you posted on that too!)
